This Altima.

Kinja'd!!!

It spews blue smoke out of both exhausts the entire time she’s driving. There is a constant cloud from each side. The lady driving it seems oblivious and it’s been this way for over a year. She has the same commute as me and works at a building near mine. I literally do my best to get around her each morning, or else it’s migraine time. The smell is awful. Even putting the vents in the car on recirculate doesn’t help.

Maybe she likes to add oil. A lot.

Lady brought her Dart in last week because her oil LIFE monitor said 3%, so she thought it meant LEVEL, and dumped a gallon of Wal-Mart’s finest into it.

It wasn’t running good after that. Smoked a bit, too.

I was about to say that she’ll be caught during the next emissions test, but I discovered that Kentucky doesn’t have emissions testing requirements. Ah, well.

We don’t really have any testing.

The smell from this car is hilariously bad. It’s like oil and gas mixed together. Smells like what my snowblower does when I start it for the first time in the winter. Or my lawn mower when I start it for the first time in the summer (both snow blower and lawn mower are incredibly old). But the Altima isn't a two-stroke. Just smells like one!

To think, this is the vast majority of the driving public. Mostly oblivious.

I did that on accident once. I did my first ever oil change, and instead of draining the oil I drained the transfluid. So i not only drained all the fluid out of the trans, I also had about 8 or 9 quarts of oil in my 2.2l engine. When the trans wouldn’t shift into reverse to get out of the garage I panicked and dumped in a quart of trans stop leak, that got it working again, but I came back from a drive around the block with the smoke pouring out of the engine bay. I checked the oil lever, and then realized what I had done.
